Acer Temple Initiates School Backpack Donation Program for Children | ACER ESG
To support underprivileged families in local communities, Acer’s Temple office partnered with the Texas-based non-profit organization Fundación De Mujer a Mujer (Woman to Woman Foundation) to initiate a school backpack donation program for the 2025–2026 school year, helping Killeen-area children in need start the new school year with adequate learning supplies.
The Woman to Woman Foundation was created for women in risky to abusive relationships to find strength and empowerment through counseling, spiritual guidance, and financial acuity. Based in Killeen, Texas, the Foundation is known for being run by strong, independent, educated women and primarily serves the Temple, Killeen, and Copperas Cove Spanish-speaking communities but is open to all women in need. Its leadership markets the Foundation through podcasts, YouTube interviews, conferences, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach in collaboration with established businesses. In addition to serving local underserved communities, the Foundation also extends its resources to several developing countries, including the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Peru, further expanding its social impact.
With the introduction and support of Acer employee Aisbell Garcia-Perez, Acer Temple and the Woman to Woman Foundation jointly launched this backpack donation initiative to support families in need. A dozen Acer employees participated, successfully collecting backpacks filled with school supplies, including notebooks, writing paper, folders, crayons, pencils, pens, markers, rulers, glue sticks, scissors, pencil pouches or boxes, and composition books. These backpacks will help reduce the burden on children and their families when preparing for the new school year, enabling students to enter the new academic term with confidence and enthusiasm. At the same time, encouraging employees to participate in volunteering and donation activities has strengthened their sense of connection and pride in the communities where they live.
Through concrete actions, Acer continues to put its sustainability values of caring for others and giving back to society into practice wherever possible.

Through our backpack and school supply drive, we were able to help a community voluntarily, fulfilling our goals and objectives to help our children start the school year with the necessary materials and provide some relief to their parents. It's rewarding when you can contribute and help those in need, and even more so when you have the opportunity to visit the schools and deliver backpacks in person to the communities that need them most. These kinds of experiences make you a better person and make you appreciate the little things even more.
