Acer India Provides Medical Equipment for Opening of “Care For Life” Dialysis Center

已複製

Acer India, in collaboration with Rotary Bangalore Peenaya Trust, sponsored five state-of-the-art dialysis machines to the “Care For Life” dialysis center in Bengaluru, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts. This facility aims to provide affordable and high-quality dialysis services, addressing the growing demand for kidney care within the community. In last 10 months, over 4000 free dialysis treatments have been provided to patients in need, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds who cannot afford the high cost of regular dialysis.

The center was officially opened in November 2024 by Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan-Asia Pacific Operations, and Harish Kohli, President and Managing Director, Acer India.

Beyond the dialysis center, Acer India’s CSR efforts extend across multiple healthcare and environmental initiatives. The Visionova initiative supports children with Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) by integrating advanced software and hardware solutions to improve their visual development. Additionally, its Heal-On-Wheels project delivers mobile medical care to over 25,000 individuals in remote tribal areas, providing essential medicines and healthcare access to underserved communities. These projects demonstrate Acer’s commitment to bridging gaps in healthcare, ensuring essential medical services reach those who need them most.

Harish Kohli highlighted the initiative’s significance, stating, “This initiative is a testament to our unwavering commitment to bettering lives and communities. Through projects like the Care For Life dialysis center, Visionova, Tree Plant drives, and Heal-On-Wheels, Acer strives to bridge gaps in healthcare and create a lasting impact on the environment and society.”

Big thanks to Acer India for provisioning dialysis machines to the Care For Life dialysis center. In last 10 months, over 4000 free dialysis treatments have been provided to patients in need. In India, the average cost per dialysis session is approximately USD 55. However, at this center, patients below the poverty line receive treatment free of charge, while those above the poverty line pay only USD 5.75.
