Acer has determined that, in a number of Acer ES Series 5 (AES015) e-scooters, there is a possibility that a specific screw may not have been tightened enough to the required specification during production. As a result, it could gradually loosen during normal use. This initiative is designed to ensure optimal operational safety by providing customers with a service maintenance update.
Customer safety remains Acer’s highest priority. This service maintenance update is intended to help ensure the continued safe operation of your e-scooter. To support you in this process, we have prepared a brief, step‑by‑step instructional video demonstrating which screw to inspect and how to tighten it correctly. The video is available
here.
There are several categories of product recalls, and this particular case is classified as a maintenance-related. Although it technically meets the definition of a recall, the required inspection and adjustment is simple enough for the user to perform at home. No returns or replacements are involved.
The Acer ES Series 5 (AES015) started selling from Q1 2023 across multiple countries. If your country appears in the list below, you are advised to perform the maintenance update at home.
If you are unable to tighten the screws yourself or are unsure, please contact the nearest Acer Service Center.
