How do I overclock my Acer Predator 17 X Your Predator 17X can be overclocked using the PredatorSense software. The AC adapter must be connected and your battery must have at least a 30 percent charge in order for you to overclock your system. PredatorSense overclocking options are automatically disabled when the AC adapter is not connected or if the battery drops below 30 percent. Use the steps below to overclock your Predator 17X: Connect your system to the AC adapter and ensure your battery is over 30 percent charged. Double click the PredatorSense icon on the desktop. Choose your desired overclocking mode ( Turbo or Faster ). Details of each setting are listed below. Click the X in the top right corner of the PredatorSense window to save your changes. If preferred, you are able to disable the Swift logo backlight in AcerSense. How to turn off the Swift logo backlight in AcerSense Open AcerSense . At the top of the window, select the Personal Settings tab. On the left side, select Touchpad . Locate TouchPad Brightness and use the slider to adjust the brightness down to zero. The setting will automatically be applied and saved.

Wrongful SSD Detection Triggers Error Message when Initializing Disk 2 on Your Predator Orion X
Why does the Disk Manager of my Predator Orion X show an error message when I initialize Disk 2? The Disk Manager application on your Predator Orion X might display the error message below when you try to initialize Disk 2. If you encounter this error, it indicates that there is an empty SSD enclosure in your Predator Orion X. Your system detects the enclosure and Disk Manager identifies the enclosure as a portable SSD device, even though there is no SSD in the enclosure. The absence of an SSD in the SSD enclosure causes an error when you try to initialize Disk 2, which triggers the unidentified Disk 2 error message. To prevent this error from reoccurring, you need to remove your portable SSD enclosure. For instructions on how to remove it, follow the steps below. How to remove the portable SSD enclosure from your Predator Orion X Remove the magnetic transparent cover by pulling it away from the front of your Predator Orion X chassis and put it aside for now. Locate the portable SSD slot cover and open it. Refer to the image below. Take the portable SSD enclosure out of your Predator Orion X by: Pulling out the latch on the front of the SSD enclosure. Grabbing the latch and pulling on it. Then take the magnetic transparent cover that you set aside at step 1 and attach it to the front of the chassis again. Disk Manager should no longer display the unidentified Disk 2 error message.

Instead, these models use a USB-C port to output video to an external monitor. If your model has more than one USB-C port, you will need to use the port labeled for video output. You will need to make sure your mobile carrier uses a supported 4G LTE band. Your Swift 7 also includes an electronic SIM (eSIM) that you can use for international data through the mobile carrier Ubigi.** Your eSIM ships with a Ubigi profile that is provisioned with up to 1 GB of free data valid for one month in 48 countries. “Something went wrong” Error During Camera Application Use on Acer Swift Ultrathin Notebooks
What should I do when I get a “Something went wrong” error when I am using the camera application on my Acer Swift SF14-11/SFG14-01/SF14-11T ultrathin notebook? Your Acer Swift ultrathin notebook is equipped with a brilliant 1440p QHD camera module that runs on a camera application by Morpho. However, running this application might cause a memory conflict with the Acer QuickPanel application that also runs on your computer. If this conflict occurs, the “Something went wrong” error message as shown below is displayed on your screen. This error can be easily solved by updating the camera driver to version 2.1.9.0. For instructions on where you can download the driver and how you can install it, follow the steps below. How to download and install the new camera driver Download the driver Go to www.acer.com . In the top menu, click on Support . In the left menu, click on Drivers and Manuals . Enter the serial number, SNID or model number of your computer in the search bar. Then click on your computer’s model name in the search results. Below the product information section, unfold the Drivers section. Go to the camera driver by Morpho, version 2.1.9.0. On the right of the driver, click on Download . Unzip the driver file Go to the Downloads folder on your computer. Locate the downloaded ZIP file in the folder. Right-click on ZIP file and select Unzip . Remove the old driver Right-click on the driver_remove.exe file in the folder. Then click on Run as administrator . When you get the screen as shown below, press Y . Install the new driver Right-click on the Install.cmd file in the folder. With the introduction of Windows Copilot, Acer added a dedicated Copilot key to the keyboards of its Aspire, Swift, TravelMate, and gaming notebooks. Consequently, some symbols on Canadian French keyboards were either moved to different keys or removed altogether if there were duplicates elsewhere on the keyboard.
