Mercury Kuo assumed the position of General Counsel and Corporate Governance Officer of Acer in January 2025, leading the company’s global legal team, and entrusted by the board of directors to oversee legal affairs and policy consultancy. He concurrently serves as the secretary of Acer’s board and leads the Corporate Development Office.

Joining Acer in 2000, Kuo has held various leadership positions in Acer and its group subsidiaries. He is well versed in managing legal challenges of the ICT Industry and experienced with legal affairs in the areas of corporate governance, intellectual property rights, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border businesses.

Kuo holds a bachelor’s degree in law from National Chengchi University and a master’s degree in law from Chinese Culture University in Taiwan.
