Adjust Gaming Settings on Predator Helios 300
How do I adjust fan speed and keyboard key settings on my Predator Helios 300? Acer PredatorSense software allows you to monitor CPU and GPU performance, as well as adjust settings like fan speed and Windows and menu keys. You can use the instructions below to adjust your Predator settings. Launch the PredatorSense software by clicking on the desktop icon, or by typing PredatorSense in the Windows search box. Choose your desired fan settings: Auto, Max, or Custom . Move the CoolBoost toggle to the desired setting. Click the Settings icon , then choose your desired key settings and temperature unit. Close the software to save your changes. Note: Not all PredatorSense features are available for all models. For instance, overclocking is not supported on the Predator G3-571, but is supported on other Predator Helios models.

Predator Helios 300 video card driver update
Where can I get an updated driver for the GTX1060 card in the Predator Helios 300 (G3-571) gaming notebook? Some games or applications may require you to install the latest NVIDIA video driver for your product. NVIDIA released an updated driver (version 382.33) for the GTX 1060 on 5/22/2017. You can download this driver at the link below or use the following instructions to download driver updates for your system. Download NVIDIA GTX 1060 driver version 382.33 (released 5/22/2017) Download the GTX 1060 driver from the NVIDIA support site: Visit the NVIDIA driver download site . Select the GeForce as the product type, GeForce 10 as the product series, and GeForce GTX 1060 as the product. Choose your operating system and language, then click Search . Click the Download button and read and accept the terms and conditions to start the download. Unzip the file you download, then run the Setup application. Download the GTX 1060 driver from the Acer support site: Visit the Acer Drivers and Manuals page . Enter your serial number or SNID, or select your model from the list of devices. Please note that the Predator Helios 300 will be listed as the Predator G3-571. Select the Driver tab to show the complete list of drivers. Click Download for the driver you want to download. GPU overclocking is not currently supported on the Predator Helios G3-571 at this time. Use the following steps to to overclock the GPU on your Predator Helios. Select your desired overclocking option: Normal, Faster or Turbo Close the software to save your changes.
Hard drive installation instructions for Predator Helios 300 laptops
This article only applies to: Predator G3-571, G3-572, G3-573 and PH317 models. The Predator Helios includes a storage bay that allows for installation of a secondary 2.5" hard drive or solid state drive. If your system does not include the hard drive caddy for installing a second drive, please contact Acer support . Use the steps below to install a secondary drive in your system. Note: Acer recommends use of an anti-static wrist strap when adding hardware to your system. Remove the AC adapter and make sure your system is completely powered off. Remove the screw securing the hard drive door to the lower case, and remove the door by lifting at the cut corner. Check to see if there is a hard drive caddy in the drive bay. Continue to the next step if the hard drive caddy is in the bay. If there is no caddy in the drive bay, skip to the Extended installation instructions section at the bottom of this article. Install the new hard drive in the hard drive module using the four screws included in the packaging. Connect the hard drive cable to the new hard drive. Align and install the hard drive module into its slot on the lower case. Attach the four screws to secure the hard drive module to the lower case. Align the hard drive door latches in the slots on the lower case and press the hard drive door firmly until it is fully seated. Secure the hard drive door with the screw you removed in step one. Extended installation instructions - For models that require installation of a hard drive cable to connect a second drive. Remove the hard drive and memory access panels (shown in the red rectangles below), then remove the15 screws that secure the lower case. Insert a plastic pry tool on the left side, and work your way around the lower case to release the clips holding it in place. Completely remove the lower case when all of the clips have been released. Locate the Hard drive cable connector on the mainboard, and install the hard drive cable as shown in the images below. We recommend routing the hard drive cable under the other cables as shown in the second image. Reinstall the lowercase. Make sure the HDD cable that you will be connecting the new HDD or SDD to is accessible with the lower case installed. Secure the 15 screws you removed in step 1. Install the new hard drive in the hard drive module using the four screws included in the packaging. Connect the hard drive cable to the new hard drive. We recommend routing the HDD cable underneath the newly installed hard drive. Align and install the hard drive module into its slot on the lower case. Attach the four screws to secure the hard drive module to the lower case. Align the hard drive door latches in the slots on the lower case and press the hard drive door firmly until it is fully seated. Secure the hard drive door.

How do I use PredatorSense Game Sync? Game Sync allows you to store your preferred game settings so they automatically load when you launch your game. Use the steps below to configure Game Sync. Launch the PredatorSense software. Select Game Sync from the menu on the left side, then click Add Game . Click Browse and choose the executable file for the game you want to configure. Choose your desired settings, then click Add . Game Sync will automatically load these settings when the game is launched.
Hard drive installation instructions for Predator Helios 300 (PH315-53)
This article only applies to: Predator PH315-53 models. The Predator PH315-53 includes a storage bay that allows for installation of a secondary 2.5" (7mm) hard drive. Use the steps below to install a secondary drive in your system. Note: Acer recommends use of an anti-static wrist strap when adding hardware to your system. Remove the AC adapter and make sure your system is completely powered off. Remove the eleven (11) screws securing the lower case to the upper case. Begin removing the lower case as shown in the image below. You may need to use a plastic pry tool designed to work on electronics to get started. Work your way around the system to release all of the plastic clips that hold the lower case in place, then lift up on the lower case to remove it. Remove the mylar tape and disconnect the battery. Save the tape to secure the battery cable again when you reconnect it. Install the hard drive carrier onto the hard drive and attach the 4 screws to secure it in place. Connect the hard drive cable to the hard drive. Align and install the hard drive module into its slot on the upper case and secure it with four (4) screws. Connect the hard drive cable to the mainboard connector and secure the latch. Connect the battery to the mainboard and secure the battery cable with mylar tape. Align the lower case and press firmly around the sides to snap it into place. Install the eleven (11) screws to secure the lower case.

Disable the system boot sound and animation feature for the Predator Helios 300 model (PH315-52)
How do I turn off the sound that plays when the system first boots up? There are two ways you can disable the Predator startup sound and animation. Method 1: Press the PredatorSense key located above the number pad. Click the Settings icon . Move the toggle for "System boot animation and sound" to the off position. Method 2: Press and hold the Power key to completely shut down your computer. Power the system on and press the F2 key when the Predator screen appears to enter the BIOS. Use the right arrow key to select Main tab. Use the down arrow key to select POST Animation & Sound , then press Enter and use the down arrow to select Disabled . Press Enter . Press F10 , then select Yes to save the changes and exit the BIOS.
