Sustainable Materials
Our computers and monitors were built using an average of 18.6% PCR plastics in 2024, reflecting our drive to create a more sustainable future as we continue to progress towards 20-30 percent by 2025.
Repairable and Upgradable
Our products are intentionally designed to be easily disassembled, repaired, and upgraded to extend their lifecycle.
Energy Efficiency
We are closing in on our goal of reducing computer electricity usage by 45% by the end of 2025 from a 2016 baseline. Today, 66.6% of our devices are ENERGY STAR certified.
Eco-Innovation
From recycled ocean plastic track pads to oystershell bioplastics, we’re designing out waste and reducing carbon with new sustainable materials.

Packaging Design
Our packaging is made from recycled or renewable materials and designed for extended use, reducing plastic waste and lowering carbon emissions.
Reducing Waste with Recyclable Paper
In 2024, paper packaging usage for our desktop computers reached 91%, and FSC-certified paper materials were adopted across the entire mini PC product line.
Rethinking Packaging Design for Reuse
Our Vero packaging is designed for second lives as storage boxes, laptop stands, or plant containers. By giving packaging a new purpose, we reduce waste and support a more circular system.
Renewable Gaming Packaging
We replaced plastic handles on our gaming notebook packaging while redesigning its EPE cushioning to use FSC™-certified paper alternatives. In 2024, these initiatives reduced plastic usage by over 10 tons, including 4.7 tons of EPE packaging.
Innovating Beyond Plastics
With our partners, we are rethinking packaging and finding new ways to design out plastic. Whether mice, monitors, or e-bikes, we turn the finite into renewable.

Cleaner Production for All
Thousands of our suppliers’ employees received ESG capability building training. And for selected suppliers, we conducted additional advanced carbon-related training to further enable the entire supply chain to decarbonize.
Compliance with Eco Labeling Standards
Through Earthion, 70% of our critical suppliers have implemented ISO 50001 and energy efficiency systems. We aim for EPEAT certification for our products and go beyond those standards where possible.

Improving Supply Chain Management
Since 2022, Sustainable Marine Fuel has helped power our cleaner supply chains. Each year, we find new opportunities to decarbonize logistics further.
Slip Sheet Shift Reduces CO2
In 2024, Acer replaced wooden pallets with slip sheets for select clients, saving 2,500 pallets and leading to a reduction of 10.5 tons of CO2.
Low Carbon Airfreight
In 2024 we started using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) with DSV and Dimerco, increasing our use of sustainable energy by 38% and reducing our carbon emissions by 667 tons compared to 2023 levels.
Transparency in Motion
Over 90% of logistics partners now report emissions, letting us co-develop low-carbon solutions.

Growing Our Renewable Electricity Portfolio
We're increasing renewable electricity every year through self-generation and purchases. In 2024, we used 18.6 million kWh of renewable electricity.
Green Commitments with Supply Chain Partners
We choose partners who share our vision of a low-carbon future, with 81% of our key suppliers pursuing RE100 or science-based carbon goals. Carbon footprints matter for supplier selection.
Renewable Charging for EVs
In 2024, Acer ITS provided green electricity charging at three stations in Tainan, Taiwan to support the transition of electric mobility toward net-zero emissions.
Advancing Energy Storage and Smart Solutions
Acer invests in smart energy and storage with companies like C-Life Technologies and Haoju Electric, supporting solar projects, battery solutions, and smart grids to advance our net-zero goals.

Acer Trade-in Programs
We help consumers participate in our trade-in programs, making it easier to recycle old electronics in the US, EMEA, and across Asia Pacific countries.
Standardized Recycling Process
We ensure that Acer’s recycling program meets the applicable recycling regulations or requirements across countries and regions.
Recycling Electronics Products
Through our partners and our own Acer Group subsidiaries we recycled more than 14,700 tons of electronic waste in 2024. That keeps waste out of landfills and creates opportunities for new materials.
Old Batteries Into New
In 2024, we recycled nearly 5 tons of batteries from consumer electronics globally. Where possible, we take any proceeds and donate them to regional social causes.
