Image Quality Issues on Acer Nitro VG240Ybmiix for ps5
I’m using my Acer Nitro VG240Ybmiix monitor with a PlayStation 5, and I’ve noticed that the image sometimes appears pixelated, blurry, or slightly “scratchy. i was just wondering if it’s a monitor issue and if so what recommend setting should i use or change? acer VG240Y monitor outputs no signal while using hdmi to type c adapter to lenovo ideapad
Hello, I am using a HDMI to type-c adapter to connect my lenovo ideapad laptop to my VG240Y monitor, but it outputs no signal. I have been using this same setup for a year and there was never a problem. HDMI to HDMI port works just fine. My laptop's type-C port works fine. I've bought a new adapter, and the problem still persists. I have tried updating drivers and restarting my laptop multiple times, but nothing changes. I didn't do anything to my setup prior to the problem. It just suddenly came up as no signal and now I cannot get it to work. Can someone please help me? Thank you very very much.

I got an acer nitro vg240y monitor in july after 3 months because it had multiple rows of dead pixels after more than a month of waiting, they replaced it with a new one that was on 2nd of Dec, now the new replaced has the same issue and it didn’t even complete one month [Edited the thread to add model number to the title and add issue detail]

my Acer nitro vg240y was confirmed to be replaced previous week under warranty. It was showing lines and they took video of the serial number and the screen and said it will be replaced within a few days. A week has passed and I'm not getting any feedback on when the replacement will happen. Acer's service is one of the worst I have ever seen. Can I get my replacement this week?
External monitor VG240Y locks at 30fps while playing games in fullscreen mode.
I just bought a new acer VG240Y M3 monitor which supports 180hz, firstly I cant see the option to set my refresh rate to 180hz in the display settings so I can only set it to 120hz. Second, when I play games (Eg: Valorant) on fullscreen mode the monitor locks to 30fps, it is only when I play it in fullscreen mode that my monitor does this, when I change it to fullscreen-windowed mode I get proper 120fps. The monitor switches on and off like its getting a new input and just locks to 30fps on fullscreen mode. Only while playing games on fullscreen mode I experience this issue, all the other times the monitor works like its supposed to. Can someone please help me regarding this? Hi! I just built a new pc and connected it to a monitor and had no issues whatsoever. When I connected it to my Acer VG240YU monitor however it always failed to boot the first time from a cold startup. I have all the drivers installed, the latest bios update, and also tried to reinstall windows. The monitor works however with any other computer I have and my computer works with every other monitor I have. I also changed the cables both hdmi and display port. I really am at a loss. Replacement monitor from online shop/Acer Nitro VG240y 165hz to VG240ym3 180hz is defective too
I got this monitor **Acer Nitro VG240y 165hz** last October 2023 from Shopee PH. In March 2024, it got some red and green horizontal lines on the bottom part, and then after a few days, the whole display was affected. So I contacted the shop from Shopee and they said they'll confirm the warranty & I should ship it to them to diagnose and repair/replace the unit. I shipped the monitor last May and paid shipping fees which cost like 2k Php back and forth. They replaced the unit with another variant (vg20ym3 180hz), from an Acer service center. I just received the replacement unit yesterday in good working condition but after just less than 5 hours of using it (stock settings out of the box), it got the same issue again but this time it's even worse. The display is already moving around like crazy and it seems unusable anymore. If I ship this unit back to them it will cost me again around 2k Php and would have to wait around 1 more month for the same replacement process (I need dual monitors for work purposes). And the shop has not replied to my inquiry yet. Talk about hassle lol. Can this be a refurbished unit? What can/should I do about it? [Edited the thread to add model name to the title]
Acer Nitro VG240Y M3 broken after just 2 months
So I bought this Acer Nitro VG240Y M3 monitor on 5th January and got it by 10th of Jan. On 6th March I was working, and it started to show garbage images and lines, also the bottom part (almost 70%) doesn't seem to work at all. I have contacted Acer India helpline acersupport@in.aegisglobal.com but it seems like the guy working there is severely underpaid and only sends one email per day! That is also regarding how he can not open the video I sent via the Gdrive link, even after sending the video via the mail with all the details he asked I got no reply that day. I have tried to contact Acer WhatsApp number also via email both are provided on their Indian website and NONE working, I got ZERO replies. It seems like Acer India doesn't care if someone is losing money just because they purchased their product. I will wait for another few days, after which I will go straight to consumer forums and then let's see if Acer helps me or not.

VG240Y P Black screen on Nvidia card?
I've got a VG240Y P monitor going black for 4-5 seconds. Some days it does not happen, sometimes it is under load, sometimes it is not. Can't figure the cause. It is hooked up to a MSI GTX 1070 card through the supplied HDMI cable. I found that it is a common problem with Radeon cards, and they switch to DP cables and it works. I tried that with a DP cable I had, but it still went black for some seconds. I cannot attest to the quality of this cable, I think it is a cheap one. Should I buy a new Displayport cable? Or are there any other reasons this could be happening? I tried hooking it to another PC, that does not have have a GPU, just the integrated Intel one, and as of now, it has not gone black. I attached an older monitor to the GTX 1070 card, and there were no problems too. Really frustrating.
VG240Y Monitor Compatibility
I just bought a VG240Y p monitor to use it as an extended display for my laptops. I connect via a HDMI cable but getting a No Signal message. I have tried using the following devices: 1. Dell Precision 5530, Windows 10 2. Macbook Pro, macOS 10.15.5 I downloaded the Acer Display Widget application on my windows device and it displays "Selected monitor not supported". Is the monitor not compatible with the above devices?
