Acer America today announced the U.S. availability of its Acer S1385WHne professional series projector offering short-throw technology, powerful 20W audio and wireless projection. These features and more make it an excellent fit for school auditoriums, lecture halls, classrooms, boardrooms, courtrooms and conference rooms.
Thanks to short-throw versatility and a native 16:10 aspect ratio, the Acer S1385WHne is capable of delivering images of up to 100 inches diagonally from as little as 3.4 feet from the screen, providing flexibility in placement options, a significant benefit for rooms with limited space. Boasting a 3200 ANSI lumens brightness and native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, it can also project clear images from a long distance on a large screen, even indoors during daylight. Two built-in 10W speakers deliver clear 20W sound that’s powerful enough for an auditorium.
“With its ability to project images from long or short distances wirelessly combined with dynamic 20 watt audio, our newest short throw projector offers presenters maximum versatility,” said Charlotte Chen, Acer America business manager. “They’ll also appreciate its digital pen compatibility for creating interactive presentations and the excellent range of connectivity options including dual HDMI ports.”
Acer Smart Pen Compatible l DLP and HDMI® 3D Ready
Digital zoom and pan enable speakers to magnify details to make a point. Compatible with the Acer Smart Pen that communicates with the projector directly via RF, presenters and educators can leverage pen input to create a more engaging and interactive experience in the classroom or conference room. Using the pen, they can write on the projected images to emphasize aspects of their presentation and use it as a remote control to flip through slides. The pen can be used from up to 32 feet away from the screen, so those in the audience can use it to write on the projected image, while up to two users can write and draw simultaneously on the same screen.
DLP® 3D and HDMI® 3D ready, it’s equipped to make lectures as engaging as possible and supports 144Hz 24p with the ability to playback 3D Blu-ray™ movie titles(2).

The projector is also easy to use and saves presenter’s time with instant resume that enables the S1385WHne to power up right after it has been turned off, with no need to wait for a cooling period. In addition, instant packing capability enables customers to pack it immediately after use.
