Acer announces that the Liquid Z3, a 3.5-inch compact-size Android smartphone built with essential communication features, has been honored with the Good Design Award, further consolidating Acer’s position as an innovator in product design. Organized by Japan Institute of Design Promotion, the Good Design Award honors distinctive designs to encourage sound industrial development and aims to enrich society through design.
The Acer Liquid Z3 smartphone is designed with all the essential communication features to suit users of all ages, and for newcomers or budget-conscious buyers. It comes with easy-to-use touch control, four user profile modes, dual-core processing power and speed, and in six fashionable colors with optional matching flip covers. Liquid Z3 is one of the smallest 3.5-inch screen size phones, and neatly packs all the indispensable features into one compact design.
Straightforward user profile modes
From the home screen, simply tap on the Quick Mode button to open up a menu and choose between the standard Android user interface and four user profiles:
Basic limits usage to six photo dial of favorite contacts and text messaging button ideal for kids. A PIN will be needed to access other features or apps.
Senior is set with six popular apps and utilities — FM radio, magnifier, clock, weather, scrolling photo dial, and messaging.
Classic has categorized apps suited for entry touch phone users.
Keypad places the keypad on the main screen for quick and direct dial, along with messaging and other essential apps or utilities ideal for feature phone upgraders.
For further ease of use, when the Liquid Z3 is set in the classic or keypad modes, users can quickly switch to music or camera options by swiping their finger left or right. Similarly, in basic or senior modes, swipe left or right to switch to photo or camera options.
No sacrifice on power and features
The Liquid Z3 makes no sacrifice on power for its compact build. The dual-core processor inside enables quick actions on apps or utilities, and fluent web browsing is enabled by fast HSPA+ 21Mbps connectivity. It also features DTS Sound™ for wider sound in a small device.
Colorful mini fashion accessory
As one of the smallest of 3.5-inch screen size phones it is compact to hold, and is available in six trendy colors — black, white, red, pink, yellow, and blue — to show off the user’s personality. A slim body with gentle curves all around provides a comfortable grip, while the chromium plated frame presents a premium look and feel.
Six matching color flip covers with hairline brushed texture protect the smartphone in style, and keep the striking curved receiver mesh clear so users can continue their calls even with the flip closed.
Essential mobile fun
Auto Smile Shot detects smiling faces and automatically captures precious moments in real time, especially useful for taking pictures of babies and young children.
Film Strip View lets users review photos one by one and delete unwanted photos quickly by sliding them upward and they are gone!
Panorama Mode combines multiple shots into a seamless panoramic picture. Simply move the camera horizontally or vertically while shooting and let the camera combine the shots.
Continuous Shot shoots at up to 40 pictures continuously to ensure users catch that critical moment.
Float Caller is a floating notification that ensures users will not be interrupted by incoming calls that take over the full screen. When a call comes in, the Float Caller mini-window pops up and users can choose to take the call or reply with a quick message.
Voice Unlock directly opens apps or interfaces by recording and using personal voice commands. Users can unlock the Liquid Z3 to the home screen, camera, messaging, and dialer with keywords by voice, without touch.
Data Traffic Manager keeps a close eye on daily and monthly data usage, which is especially handy for users who do not have an unlimited data plan.
Pricing and availability
