Acer America today announced it has won the 2013 Microsoft U.S. Multinational OEM Partner of the Year Award for the United States. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft Corp. partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
“We are proud to accept this award acknowledging Acer as one of Microsoft’s key partners in the U.S. market,” said Hugues Gontier, senior director of marketing, Acer America. “We look forward to continuing our strategic alliance with Microsoft as we continue to bring a range of innovative technology products to market that fit the needs of our business, educational and consumer customers.”
Acer America has received numerous accolades this year for a number of its product lines that provide innovative design and features that make the most of Windows 8. The Acer S7 Series Ultrabook has been applauded for its long battery life and a first-rate user experience thanks to the touch-screen and electroluminescent backlit keyboard. The Acer Aspire R7 notebook redefined the touch and typing experience with a 15.6-inch full HD 1920x1080 touch screen display that can be moved into different positions via the Ezel Hinge for natural, fluid computing. Plus, the company introduced the world’s first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet, the Acer Iconia W3, bringing entertainment and full PC capabilities into the palm of a hand with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 ready to activate at no additional expense.
Acer America was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services, as well as demonstrating excellent subsidiary engagement in the U.S. market. The Microsoft U.S. Multinational OEM Partner of the Year Awards honor partners at the country level that have demonstrated business excellence in delivering Microsoft solutions to multiple customers over the past year. This award recognizes Acer America as succeeding in effective engagement with its local Microsoft office while showcasing innovation and business impact, driving customer satisfaction and winning new customers.
“We are pleased to recognize Acer America as a Microsoft U.S. Multinational OEM Partner of the Year,” said Peter Han, vice president, US OEM, Microsoft Corp. “Acer has delivered to our customers great touch experiences on Windows 8 devices and we look forward to working together on the launch of Windows 8.1.”
