Acer will be showcasing its family of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Target users range from first-time smartphone buyers looking for intuitive simplicity, to tech-savvy customers in need of feature-rich multimedia and communication experiences. Acer's smartphones complement the company's other mobile products, which include tablets and notebooks, and the new lineup reinforces the company’s commitment to the smartphone market.
New to Acer’s smartphone line for 2013 includes:
Liquid E1: A Rich Multimedia Experience
Featuring a large 4.5-inch qHD display, powerful dual-core processor, optional dual SIM cards and the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, the Liquid E1 smoothly handles multimedia and communication at the same time. The unique Float Caller notification ensures that users will not be interrupted by incoming calls that take over the full screen while using apps or watching videos. Instead, a Float Caller mini window pops up and lets users take calls or reply with quick messages.
Liquid E1 also features an impressive dual-speaker system and DTS Sound™ for enhanced audio with volume maximization and stereo sound, so users can freely enjoy music stored locally or streamed from their PCs through AcerCloud. The zero shutter delay camera captures images momentarily and snaps fast-action sequences with 4-, 8- and 16-burst shooting.
Liquid Z2: The Smartphone for First-time Users
The Liquid Z2 uses the Android Jellybean OS, which is ideal for first-time users. The OS learns users' habits and has a very intuitive interface with large icons. It's easy to operate and makes Internet browsing, photography, and listening to music a breeze, especially with the support of AcerCloud, users can snap pictures and share instantly on their other devices.
The versatile optional 3 or 5 MP camera launches in just 1 second, offers panoramic and multi-angle modes, plus continuous shooting (up to 99 shots) to capture precious moments. SRS Sound™ immerses users in excellent mobile audio with greater clarity and deeper bass. The enhanced sound is echoed by rhythmic design features including rippling lines along the smartphone's edges. Liquid Z2 also offers optional dual SIM cards for added convenience.
Liquid C1: Superior Speed and Processing Power
Designed for fast-paced lifestyles, the Liquid C1 features an Intel® Atom™ processor for responsive touch control and quick-loading webpages. Image-intensive applications and video are extra smooth on the 4.3-inch qHD display, thanks to a 400 MHz graphics engine. Globetrotters will appreciate versatile quad-band roaming and long battery life. Fast 3G connectivity makes it easy to stream video, connect with social networks, and upload photos in minimal time. While AcerCloud enables users to automatically sync and download edited documents from their PC, convenient for professionals.
Easy to Share Files and Media
Acer smartphones support AcerCloud, a file sharing and media management solution that lets users easily retrieve, enjoy and share their multimedia and data files using a variety of computing devices. AcerCloud simplifies management of digital assets across digital devices, regardless of platform, and is free on new Acer products.
