Megan Fox, the Hollywood star regularly voted one of the world’s most beautiful women, reveals that beneath the sexy exterior is a geeky scientist just waiting to be unleashed.
In an advertising campaign for computer company Acer, Fox says that her hidden ambition is to be a marine biologist. Using her Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabook™, Fox leads a group of geeky scientists in a quest to develop software that will allow her to speak to dolphins.
Fox says: “I decided to work with Acer because I’m a technology geek in real life - I love video games and computers. I do enjoy playing differrent roles and I like to parody myself and this was a good opportunity to do that.”
The campaign, which was developed by creative agency Mother, demonstrates that by using Acer’s products you can pursue your passions. It is the latest in a series of ads for Acer to feature a celebrity doing unexpected things. Earlier this year the actor Kiefer Sutherland parodied his tough guy character Jack Bauer from the cult TV series ‘24’. Instead of shooting baddies he is seen making cupcakes – albeit with a power drill rather than a whisk.
Acer worked closely with Intel on the campaign. Intel Partner Marketing manager Ryan Baker noted, “The Acer Aspire S7 really is one of the world’s most beautiful and impressive UItrabooks and we like to think of the Intel Core processor inside as the brain powering the beauty.”
The Megan Fox campaign breaks in the UK, the US, Russia, Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines on October 30.
