Acer, a Worldwide Partner of the Olympic Movement, is hosting a community rally to support two-time gold medal winner Kerri Walsh in her quest to win an unprecedented third gold medal in beach volleyball at the 2012 Olympic Games. Headquartered locally, Acer America invites its community to an exciting day of fun and inspiration at Wildwood Park on Tuesday, June 19 in Walsh’s hometown of Saratoga, Calif.
Families and community members who attend this free rally will have the opportunity to hear Walsh speak about her Olympic journey, play games for prizes, and encourage this hometown athlete as she prepares to fulfill her dreams in London. During this event, Acer will also make a donation to Walsh’s Chase the Stars Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of children’s lives.
“Acer America and its employees are proud to be members of the greater San Jose community and we’re honored to celebrate one of our own hometown heroes as she prepares for the Olympic Games this summer,” said Emmanuel Fromont, president of Acer’s Pan America Operations. “We admire Kerri Walsh’s relentless pursuit of excellence as well as her commitment to giving back to the community. We are pleased to support the Chase the Stars Foundation and look forward to hosting our Bay Area friends as we all cheer Kerri on to win a third gold medal.”
The rally will be held on the stage at Wildwood Park, located at 20764 4th St. in Saratoga, Calif. on Tuesday, June 19 at 10:30 am (PDT).
