Acer announced today that its Android-powered Liquid E700 smartphones are available at Digicel stores in Bermuda, Jamaica and the Turks and Caicos Islands. This follows the successful launches of Acer smartphones across Pan America earlier this year in Canada, Chile and Mexico. With the latest expansion, Acer’s smartphones now span across 35 markets around the world, far exceeding its original 2014 target.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Digicel Group, which has enabled us to expand our smartphone presence to the Caribbean,” said Hugo Hernandez, vice president, Acer America Smartphone Business Group. “We believe professionals, consumers and frequent travelers in this region will appreciate Acer’s Liquid E700’s ergonomic design, premium sound quality and extremely long battery life.”
Rachael Lindo-Hall, Digicel head of group device management, commented, “We’re committed to ensuring our customers have access to the latest and greatest handsets, which in turn open up a world of possibilities for them on our 4G network. The Acer Liquid E700 smartphone is a perfect choice for our style-savvy, on-the-go customers as it meets both their business and personal needs. We are happy to be welcoming Acer to the Digicel family.”
Boasting dynamic audio, light weight, a large screen and ultra-long battery life, the Acer Liquid E700 smartphone is primed to support today’s mobile lifestyle, whether it’s enjoying music at the beach, listening to music during a jog or watching videos on a plane. It’s comfortably lightweight at less than 155g (with battery) and sports a premium look and feel with crafted top and bottom curves optimized to protect the screen and provide a better grip. Featuring a brilliant 5-inch HD IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology and 900:1 high contrast, the Liquid E700 prevents glare and provides vivid images with wide viewing angles for clear reading, even in sunlight. It also comes with Android 4.4.2, a quad-core processor, 4 GB of internal storage and MicroSD™ card for expandable storage.
