Further Requirements
Because HoloReact uses hardware acceleration to directly decode videos and perform frame interpolation Acer has determined the most suitable graphics cards to provide an optimum user experience.
If your PC does not meet recommended specifications, you will be prevented from installing HoloReact. This is because the performance will be too slow and will negatively impact the overall experience.
The player is automatically activated through the Acer Mixed Reality headset.
Please go to Settings > Mixed Reality > Headset display > Experience options > Change;
Select “90 Hz” > Save;
Yes, HoloReact allows you to use motion controllers.
No. This application is only available for use on the Acer Windows Mixed Reality Headset.
MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) up to 4K.
MPEG-4 HEVC (H.265) up to 8K.
JPEG, JPG.
HoloReact filters unsupported video files and only shows supported files.
For more information about supported formats please refer to Q7 & Q8.

Some files may not be tagged with the correct sphere information and the system will consider it to be normal media. That is why we have provided a “play mode” switching function which can be used to switch to 360°mode. Click the “360” icon to switch to 360° mode.
It’s blocked because your GeForce GTX 1050 graphic card cannot achieve the required 90Hz refresh rate.
Unfortunately this is down to the graphics card. Whilst we expect Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050Ti graphics to be able to achieve 90Hz they don’t meet Microsoft’s minimum hardware specifications for displaying on the headset. For further details please go here.
If your PC has dual Nvidia graphic cards and SLI (Scalable Link Interface) is enabled it may cause this problem. To resolve please turn off SLI.
Go to the Nvidia Control Panel > Configure SLI, Surround, PhysX > Disable SLI
No, HoloReact doesn’t provide this service. It uses a runtime function and doesn’t keep any media files after playback finishes.
To resolve this issue it is suggested that frame interpolation is turned off. If the bit rate is too high and above the GPU’s capability the sound will be intermittent.
There is no “Play” button after the headset is connected.
There is no display on the Mixed Reality headset.
