From mighty gaming rigs to creative power stations
Whether you’re setting a new high score, or putting the finishing touches on a video shoot, here’s everything you need to aim higher with Acer’s latest line-up.
Raising the bar
Ideal for gamers, the Triton 300’s all-aluminium chassis is decked out in a slick matte black design with a 144Hz 15.6-inch Full HD display, while under the hood, you can have up to a 9th generation overclockable Intel Core i7 processor paired with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics.
Meanwhile, the 15.6-inch Predator Triton 500 is now available with a blazing fast 300Hz Full HD display, and measures up at just 17.9mm, making it a super slim option for gamers on the go. With narrow bezels of just 6.3mm, you can focus more on what’s on-screen, whether you’re fragging your foes or creating your very own videos for the web.
Breaking ground with ConceptD
Acer’s Predator line isn’t the only mark that’s expanding: the new ConceptD Pro series of notebooks is here to raise the bar for professional content creators as well as AI engineers and game developers. Armed with NVIDIA’s Quadro graphics cards, these new laptops are well equipped for creating VR worlds, developing artificial intelligence or for breaking ground with big data analytics in the latest games.
The new ConceptD 5 comes in 15- and 17-inch display options, and packs in NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics for gaming or creating on the go. The ConceptD 3, meanwhile, looks sleek with a pristine white finish and runs silently so you can focus on your creativity, whether that’s designing worlds or editing your latest frag clips.
The ConceptD 3 Pro is ideal for high-end game designers with a pro-spec NVIDIA Quadro T1000 graphics chip and a PANTONE-validated display that’ll make your images pop and accurate. The ConceptD 5 Pro, meanwhile, is here with top-end components to help you create your best ever work. Backed up with the latest Intel Core i7 processors and up to NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 graphics ideal for 3D animators or making huge levels in upcoming games.
Elevating your gaming space
After the incredible reception of the original Predator Thronos gaming ‘chair’, Acer has raised the bar for immersive gaming experiences with its brand new Thronos Air. Dubbed as more of a ‘gaming cave’ than a chair for hardcore gamers, the steel structure houses a chair, modular desk and monitor arm to fully immerse you in your worlds. The chair can be adjusted to various degrees, while there’s even a massage function packed in to help you relax after a thrilling game. The modular desk also supports up to three displays on the monitor arm, while you can easily attach a camera for your live action streaming sessions.
Speaking of monitors, the new Nitro XV3 series of displays are set to give you incredible speed and picture quality and – importantly for gamers and creators – accurate images, too. The new range of four monitors are also NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, letting you tap into high refresh rates to take your gaming experience to the next level.
First up, the new Nitro XV273U S packs in a 2560x1440 resolution and a rapid 144/overclock to 165Hz refresh rate in a 27-inch package, giving you tear-free images and greater visual fluidity when in the thrall of a showdown. Meanwhile, the new Nitro XV273 X, likewise in 27-inch size, offers a Full HD resolution, and it’s the world’s first monitor to combine 240hz and IPS technology, along with DisplayHDR 400 and a native 5ms response time.
