Acer's product innovations once again received global recognition for their outstanding design. Acer CloudMobile™ smartphone and S235HL LCD monitor both won the Design & Innovation Awards this year at Computex Taipei. Concurrently, CloudMobile™ also received the Best Design Award.
Acer’s CloudMobile™ smartphone offers free AcerCloud service, which securely connects personal content from Cloud PCs through CloudMobile™ anytime, anywhere. Users can play music or videos and view photos from their smartphones whether at home, office, or on-the-go; hence, enhancing mobile productivity and providing seamless document management.
Designed to meet the needs for business professionals, CloudMobile™ is ultra-slim with a depth of less than 1 cm. The stainless steel receiver on the front, and the Dolby speaker plate on the back, has tiny perforations that exude style and high-quality craftsmanship. Tactile details on the volume button and rear side of the phone further enhance the exquisite look and feel.
The other award-winning product, S235HL LCD monitor features Full HD resolution and a contrast ratio up to 100 million:1, ensuring a crystal-clear viewing experience. This monitor also incorporates mercury-free LED technology for up to 68% eco-friendly power conservation.
S235HL sports an ultra-slim profile with a depth of less than 1 inch, delivering a minimalist, modern look. It is encased in a glossy black bezel and features a sleek asymmetrical design. The silver stand provides elegance, while the ice-blue LED buttons embedded in the stand offer a contemporary feel. To top it off, all the I/O ports are located on the base, further enhancing the clean and simple appearance.
In addition to the Design & Innovation Awards, CloudMobile™ and S235HL both captured the iF Product Design Awards of Germany. Furthermore, CloudMobile™ received the Computex Taipei 2012 Best Choice Award. The collection of awards represents the global recognition received for the design concepts featured in these two products.
The Computex Taipei Design & Innovation Awards are organized in cooperation with the world-leading industrial design institution, iF Design. Their evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, design quality, choice of materials, environmental friendliness, and functionality, among others.
